    Antimicrobial Pharmacist, Clinical Specialist Senior Pharmacist

    Permanent, Part Time

     Job Summary:

    The successful candidate will be an essential member of the Pharmacy Team, ensuring safe and effective use of medications.

    The Antimicrobial Pharmacist will work as part of a progressive and dynamic Pharmacy Team to ensure best outcomes for patients.

    The successful candidate will be responsible to provide a robust antimicrobial stewardship programme in the hospital that aims to ensure safe and effective antimicrobial use and minimise antimicrobial resistance. Close collaboration with the Consultant Microbiologist, Infectious Disease Consultant and the Infection Prevention and Control Team is essential.

    The Antimicrobial Pharmacist has responsibility for antimicrobial stewardship in obstetric, gynaecological and neonatal care. This role will involve collaboration within the RCSI Hospitals Group to optimise antimicrobial stewardship in maternal, gynaecological and newborn care.

    Essential Qualifications and Experience:

    §  To have a recognized degree in Pharmacy and to be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland and produce evidence to the Rotunda Hospital of continued registration as requested

    §  To have three (3) years post-registration relevant experience

    §  To have previous clinical pharmacy experience in a specialised setting

     A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for the Senior Pharmacist Post from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
