    Senior Pharmacist Aseptic Compounding Unit

    Mater Private Network is looking for a highly motivated Senior Pharmacist to join the Dublin Pharmacy team. We are a fully digitised JCI accredited hospital, which is the highest quality care standard in healthcare.

    This is a full time, permanent contract with potential for flexible working hours.

    Purpose of post:

    To assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmaceutical service to the hospital, meeting the pharmaceutical care needs of patients and staff, specifically in respect to the compounding of drugs primarily for oncology / haematology patients, under our care. This will require a close working relationship with the:

    ·         Oncology day centre and ward

    ·         Oncology  / Haematology multi-disciplinary teams

    ·         Clinical trials pharmacist.

    Professional qualifications, registration, essential skills & knowledge.

    1.      Be registered in the Register of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland or entitled to be so registered.

    2.      Minimum 3 years hospital pharmacy or other relevant professional experience.

    3.      Aseptic compounding unit work experience desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

    4.      Experience in  clinical trials and early access programmes (EAPs) desirable. Good Clinical Practice certification training will be provided if needed.

    5.      Experience of research and project work.

    6.      Awareness / sensitivity toward patient needs.

    7.      Discretion and ability to use initiative.

    8.      Good interpersonal skills.

    9.      Ability to work effectively as part of multi-disciplinary team.

    10.  Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
